Book Buy Express accepts returns on purchased textbooks within 14 days if the book arrives not as described, damaged in transit, or is the wrong item. Here is how returns and refunds work.
Textbook purchases (Buy Textbooks)
We want you to get exactly the book you ordered. You may return a purchased textbook if:
- it arrived not as described (condition or edition differs from the listing),
- it was damaged in transit, or
- we sent the wrong item.
Requests must be made within 14 days of delivery. For these cases we cover return shipping and issue a full refund to your original payment method once we receive and inspect the book.
Change of mind: because our textbooks are used and one-of-a-kind, purchases are otherwise final sale.
Access codes & supplements: once an access code has been revealed or used, that item cannot be returned.
How do I request a return?
Email us at admin@bookbuyexpress.ca within 14 days with your order number and a photo of the issue. If it qualifies, we will email you a prepaid return label. Refunds are issued within 5 business days of receiving the book.
Consignment sales
Books purchased through consignment follow the same 14-day return policy above. If you consigned a book with us, your payout is issued after the buyer return window has closed, which protects both of us from returned orders.
Selling your books to us (buyback)
When we receive a book you have sold to us, we inspect it on arrival. If it is not as described, a different edition, undisclosed damage, or missing components, we will email you a revised quote. You can accept the new quote, or ask us to return the book to you.
